The objective of this article is to evaluate if there is evidence of the adoption of concepts and practices in project management considered to be cutting edge and relevant to success in IS projects, from a sample of national reference companies in their market niches. In order to assess this result, the study is based on a research of an applied nature, based on a qualitative approach, using, firstly, as a methodological procedure, a bibliographic survey on the subject, with the objective of identifying a set of good practices related to project management, called analysis categories.
