The protective factors can be defined as an influence which prevents, limits or reduces risk factors over time. It is the objective of this study to analyze the perception of the young students in relation to the protection factors. It is a descriptive, transversal and analytical study with a quantitative approach. The data collection instrument consists of the Global School-Based Studying Health Survey (GSHS), to which characterization issues were associated. Regarding protection factors are considered two, friends and parents or caregivers.
