Experiments were carried out on both bolted and bonded joints in profiles made of fiber reinforced polymers (FRP). Hence, no robust standard or design guidance has yet been approved and published, the aim and scope of this project, is to compare analytical calculation methods from both manufacturer of the profiles, and Eurocodes proposal of design guide in FRP to experimental results. Consequently, bolted joints are more common for now, more emphasis was placed on them. Joints were designed and tested, and their failure modes and load-bearing capacity analyzed in a detailed manner, along with progressive damage analysis with finite element modeling.
