This study explored the relationships between teachers' sense of responsibility and job satisfaction in Iranian high schools. Teachers' sense of responsibility was probed into through four dimensions of responsibility for student motivation, student achievement, relationships with students, and teaching. Teachers' job satisfaction was investigated through five aspects of meaningfulness of the job, supportive administration, job characteristics, social benefits, and intention to remain in the job. The results showed that there were only significant statistical relationships between sense of responsibility for student motivation and two of job satisfaction sub-scales; supportive administration and job characteristics.
