The purpose of this study was to analyse the impact of working memory span and warning participants about the nature of the DRM paradigm on creation of false memories, and number of correctly recalled words. The participants in this study were 40 in total, 8 males and 32 females. Working memory span was measured using the Operation Span Task (OSPAN). Participants listened to 20 of the DRM lists, 10 before warning and 10 after receiving warning, and had to recall as many words as they could from each list. Two hypotheses were tested.
