We examined three main arguments on Joseph A.Schumpeter’s theory of de-mocracy in Part(Ⅰ), (Ⅱ) and (Ⅲ) of this pear. Their arguments were: \u27democracy as a political method’ which Schumpeter insists on as a starting point; his criticisms of \u27the theory of competitive leadership’. In addition to these arguments, in Part(Ⅳ), we considered his application of the democratic method and conditions for its success. In this final Part, we take up Schumpeter’s argument on the relationship between democracy and socialism, and examine how well or ill socialism qualifies for the task of making the democratic method function
