The investigations were performed in the years 1968-1972 in the area of forest meadows (Anthvllido-Triofolietum and Nardetum strictae) on northern mountain slopes in Pieniny National Park. The phenological seasons were distinguished during the year. Attention was paid to the problem of fairy rings and to fungi which form them. The effects of atmospheric conditions on the fruiting of meadow fungi were examined. On 9 sample plots quantitative investigations were performed. Differences in the course of yearly fruiting of fungi between years poor in rainfall and normal ones were demonstrated.
