The paper highlights the importance of topography for the modernization works of roads, through direct survey of the details of interest, and subsequently showcasing and emphasizing those details in the form of a topographic map, that can presently be achieved either in analog or digital format. The logistic possibilities, in this specific case, permitted the optimal selecting, recording and processing of that data, which led to an efficient technological rendering process of the location plan. The support points were positioned with a GPS system, with high accuracy, which guaranteed precise coordinates for the detail points developed from these.
