I had planned on being married, Been so busy night and day; But you left me for another; Now I'm crying all the way. In tears I see you when I'm sleeping, You have meant this world to me; But now you left me broken-hearted, And you care no more for me. You will miss me, little darling, When I've gone so far away; Three short years we've been so happy, All my night is bright as day. I dreamed of you last night, my darling, Though I held you very near; But I woke up broken-hearted, And my pillow was wet with tears.
