Vau...Oh, that's been read— there's stories of that— you've got that already written down years ago. M .... Yeah, but not about the movie. Vau...You can go to one of these book stores down here and find that. M .... You know the movie, though, is different. Vau...Yes, the movie's different but that movie's just putting on that show just like that actually was— as near as they could— to make it look good. Yes, you can read that and git that. Davy Crockett left Tennessee and come down— got beat for Governor up there in Tennessee and come down in Texas. All of his friends followed him down there. The whole ... down there. And, finally, Santy Annie moved him back. Or moved him plum out. Put him plum out. M ....Well, how about the guy spitting tobacco juice in his eye? That's the funniest thing I ever heard. And I don't think you'd find that In a history book. Now, would you? Vau...Naw, I don't believe you could but that'se in that show, anyhow. M.....Well, how did it happen? Vau...I don't believe I'll relate that again. I might get it not just as correctly. I'd have to write up on that a little— study on that. Get it all lined up just to fit. But, I guess that's the best part of it where it comes in just off handed. Where a fella tells a while and then backs up and gits to correct his statement. M.....They killed everybody but Davy. He's the last man. Vau...He's the last to go out. And he smiled as he died. Smiled at death. M ....Fixing to bayonet him. And he smiled. Don...He already had the bayonet in his belly, didn't he? Vau...Had it in his breast. M ....What was the guy's name that had his tobacco? Wa3 he a hero? One of the principal fighters or just one of the guys? Vau...He was one of old Saint Annie's best men, I guess. Heros. It didn't say. It just showed the man there. So, it didn't say who he was. Pictured him ... no way. If it was, he's only just a Mexican. Don...Oh, a Mexican. Vau...Yeah, old Saint Anna is Mexican. Aw, you've read that old story.
