All is vain, unless the Spirit Of the Holy One comes down, Let us pray that holy manna May be scatter'd all around. Look, and see poor sinners round you Trembling on the brink of woe, Death is coming, how alarming Can you bear to let them go, Let us tell them of the Saviour, Tell them that he may be found. Let us pray that holy manna May be scattered all around. Is there here a trembling jailer Seeking grace, and filled with fear, Is there here a weeping Mary, Pouring forth a flood of tears. Let us join our prayers to help them, Let our faith and love abound Let us pray that holy manna May be scattered all around.
