In the current findings, considerations in historical, religious, legal and medical ethics are presented, that intend to participate in the bioethical debate from the principles of beneficence and autonomy regarding voluntary euthanasia that try to answer the question, that in some cases, what must prevail is: the right to life as a supreme value, or by the contrary, should human dignity and the quality of life be considered the maximum values of existence.
