AKÖREN (KONYA, ORTA TOROSLAR) ÇEVRESİNİN JEOLOJİK ÖZELLİKLERİ 

The Akören region is an interesting province with autochthonous Geyikdağı Unit, allochthonous Bozkır Unit and Neoautochthonous Unit. The Neoautochthonous Unitssoverlie unconformable basement autochthonous and allochthonous tectonic unites. The aim of the study is to bring out stratigraphica and tectonical features of the region. In the study field works were carried out for warpping. Besideslitological charecteristics fauna contents contact relatives and paleoenvironmental approachesfor each units werw presented At the Akören and its surrounding area, the autochthonous rocks is knovn as the Geyikdağı Unit. It starts with shelf carbonates (Hacıalabaz limestone) Jurassic‐Early Cretaceous in age and passes to Late Cretaceous aged neritic carbonates (Saytepe formation) including abundant rudistes and foraminifera in the middle of the sequence. Pelagic fossiliferous, clayey, cherty limestone and marls (Alan formation) are seen at the upper parts of the autochthonous unit. The rocks of the Geyikdağı Unit are covered tectonocially by the Bozkır Unit. Tectonic slides of the Bozkır Unit comprise the Hatip ophiolitic melange Maestrihtian in age at the bottom, cherty‐clayey cabonates and radiolarites belonging to deep shelf edges of Boyalıtepe groups in Late Cretaceous in age in the middle and Triassic‐Jurassic aged massive neritic carbonates of Gencek groups at the top. Coarse clastics (Sille formation), lacustrine carbonates and claystones (Ulumuhsine formation) and dasitic‐andesitic rocks (Erenlerdağı volcanites) are related to Late Miocene‐Early Pliocene lacustrine transgression and volcanic activities. Then alluvial fan sediments foot (Topraklı formation) Late Pliocene‐Pleistocene in age and Holocene alluviums are the youngest sediments. Main folds and fractures in the region extend in NW‐SE direction. These tectonic lines are conformable with morphotectonic structure of the district. Therefore, these structural properties belong to the paleotectonic stage. There are also younger faults extending in ENE‐WSW and E‐W directions that cut off main folds and tectonic lines in the Akören region and they are neotectonical stuctures. The formations of the Akören area depression, which are subgrabens shapes are related to the deposition of fluvial‐lacustrine‐phanof mauntain and alluvial deposits in the depression areas formed by paleotectonic events and these young units were faulted by the tectonic proses. Akören (Konya güneyi) yöresinde, otokton Geyikdağı Birliği ile allokton Bozkır Birliğine ait Mesozoyik istifleri ve bunları açılı uyumsuzlukla örten Neojen birimleri yüzeylemektedir. Bu çalışma ile yörenin stratigrafik/tektonik özelliklerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen arazi çalışmaları ile birimler ayırtlanmış, her bir birimin özellikleri, bu birimlerin birbirleri ile olan ilişkileri ve oluşum ortamları sunulmuştur. Geyikdağı Birliğinin bölgedeki stratigrafik istiflenmesi, dolomit ara katkılı sınırlı şelf karbonatlarından oluşan Jura‐Erken Kretase yaşlı Hacıalabaz kireçtaşı ile başlar. Hacıalabaz birimi üzerinde uyumlu olarak, çok bol rudistli‐foraminiferli resif karbonatları şeklindeki, Geç Kretase yaşlı Saytepe formasyonu yer alır. Üstte yine uyumlulukla çört yumrulu, killi ve marnlı pelajik karbonatlardan yapılmış Geç Kretase yaşlı Alan formasyonu izlenir. Akören bölgesinde Geyikdağı Birliğine ait birimler, Bozkır Birliğinin tektonik dilimleri tarafından üzerlenirler. Bozkır Birliğinin en alt bölümünü, Maastrihtiyen yaşlı Hatip ofiyolitli karışığı oluşturur. Yörenin ikinci allokton dilimi, çörtlü kireçtaşı‐killi kireçtaşı‐radyolarit içerikli ve Geç Kretase yaşlı pelajiklerden (Boyalıtepe grubu) meydana gelmiştir. İnceleme alanındaki üçüncü allokton tektonik dilim ise; orta‐kalın tabakalı, bol eklemli ve masif yapıdaki Triyas‐Jura yaşlı neritik kireçtaşlarıdır (Gencek grubu). Akören çevresinde otokton ve allokton konumlu kayalar ile neootokton konumlu kayaların sınırları, genelde fay dokanaklı olup, bölgenin düzleşmiş sahaları, birer çöküntü alanı durumundadır. Bu çöküntülerin tabanlarında, neootokton konumlu genç dolgu birimleri olarak, Geç Miyosen‐Erken Pliyosen sürecinde oluşmuş göl transgresyonuna ait kaba kırıntılılar (Sille formasyonu), göl karbonat ve killeri (Ulumuhsine formasyonu) ile dasit ve andezitler (Erenlerdağı volkanitleri) yer almaktadır. Akören çevresinin en genç oluşukları, Geç Pliyosen‐Pleyistosen’de oluşmuş dağ eteği‐alüvyal yelpaze çökelleri (Topraklı formasyonu) ve Holosen başından günümüze değin olumuş alüvyonlardır. Akören bölgesinde oluşmuş kıvrım ve kırıklar genelde KB‐ GD gidişlidirler. Bu gidiş, bölgenin morfo‐tektonik yapısıyla uyumludur ve KB‐GD uzanımlı bu yapılar, paleotektonik döneme aittir. Bölgede ana kıvrım ve kırıkları kesen DKD‐BGB ve D‐B uzanımlı daha genç neotektonik kırıklar da vardır. Akören çevresindeki çöküntüler, bu kırıkların kontrolünde oluşmuş yarı grabenlerdir. Bu grabenlerin teşekkülü, paleotektonik olaylarla çanaklaşmış alanların, neotektonik dönemde bir taraftan akarsu‐göl‐dağ eteği ve alüvyal çökellerle dolmasından sonra, bölgenin neotektonik hareketlerle yeniden faylanmasına bağlıdır.
