This research realizes the changes that occur in a group of college students, when performing peer assessment practices. This was a qualitative study, framed in an action research design. The research results showed that the exercise of peer assessment favored the participation of students in classes, however the development of critical thinking is limited, especially in the substantive dimension of this.
