This article begins with a brief consideration on the political context of the country, in which they emerge the two main Colombian political parties. In the second place, we address different approaches and studies on Violence that have been conducted in the country, which implies to make reference to the internal conflict within Colombia. In the third place, we review the beginning of the guerillas, the birth of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), the National Liberation Army (ELN) and the April Nineteen Movement (M-19).
