Historic Hawthorn: a photographic essay - The wide range of Hawthorn’s Victorian architecture, from cottage to mansion to iconic site, has been recorded in photographs taken by the Swinburne Graphic Design students in the 1970s for a project undertaken in association with the Hawthorn Historical Society. The students worked under the direction of Alan Campbell-Drury, Photography Lecturer and Robert Francis, then Swinburne Lecturer in Graphic Design and Art Director Studio Manager of the ‘Design Studio’.
