Blurb: The picture has been taken from the icebreaker S.A. Agulhas II on the 2017 winter cruise to Antarctica while conducting wave measurements in the Southern Ocean. On the 4th of July at 63 South and 30 East we entered the marginal ice zone during a winter storm and observed and measured waves propagating in the pancake ice covered ocean
