Sarah Siddons

Pen and ink drawing (undated) of Welsh-born English stage actress Sarah (Kemble) Siddons (1755-1831), known for her portrayals of tragic Shakespearean female characters, particularly Lady Macbeth. Siddons was from a prominent family of actors. She was the older sister of John Philip Kemble, Charles Kemble, Stephen Kemble, Ann Hatton and Elizabeth Whitlock, and the aunt of Fanny Kemble
