PhD student Chiara Paviolo and Professor of Biointerface Engineering Sally McArthur are investigating a new way of restoring sight using a 'bionic eye'. The research conducted at Swinburne University of Technology has attracted international interest for its novel use of light stimulation combined with nanotechnology.
