The purpose of this study was to make clear the relationship between the housing environment and clothing life. It also obtained some data in order to realize the energy savings and comfortability of the clothing life. The authors made inquiries about clothing and then measured the indoor environmental variables. The following results were obtained: 1) The proportion of subjects wearing thick clothing was larger in the area where the outdoor temperature was higher. The subjects increased their comfort by wearing thick clothing. 2) In most case of houses, their bedroom temperature became lower than 10℃.
