Categorizing documents into different categories manually can be very time consuming. This is what Help Desk and Special Issues Programmers (SIP) encounter everyday at my current workplace. Currently users submit tickets to Help Desk and SIP via email. When tickets come in from users they, Help Desk and the SIP, have to categorize these tickets so they know who the tickets should be assigned to. For this thesis, a web application was developed to accept ticket requests and automatically assign the tickets to categories using a text categorization algorithm. Categorizing the tickets automatically will reduce the wait time for the user and cut down on the time it takes to categorize a ticket
