Add to ORKGPashan lake is perennial lake with rich avifauna in and around the lake in all three seasons; it is located at Pashan, 20 km east of Pune city. Richness of avifauna indicates the healthy status of lake. Survey of birds conducted during January 2014 to June 2015 enlisting 25 species belong to 14 families In general species to 9 order Anseriformes, Cicoiiformes, Pelecaniformes, Gruciformes, Charadriiformes, Columbiformes, Coraciiformes, Passeriforms, and Piciformes observed during study. Density of avifauna varies according to seasons. Maximum diversity occurs in winter and lowers in monsoon and summer
