Zat besi merupakan komponen utama dalam pembentukan darah yang dalam absorpsinya memerlukan reduktor seperti vitamin C. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh pemberian suplemen zat besi dengan dan tanpa vitamin C terhadap kenaikan kadar hemoglobin. Desain penelitian ini adalah Kuasi Eksperiment. Pengukuran dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali, dengan pengukuran pertama merupakan pengukuran pendahuluan sebelum intervensi dilakukan yaitu berupa pemberian suplemen zat besi dengan vitamin C pada kelompok pertama dan pemberian suplemen zat besi tanpa vitamin C pada kelompok kedua.
