Throughout time, bilingual education supports native language and transfers that knowledge to learn a new language. However, it has radically changed throughout the decades in the United States. Many researchers argued that bilingual education is effective, while others debated that it is not. This capstone research project examines the effects of bilingual education programs on elementary Latino English language learners through the use of literature review, interviews with principals and teachers and anonymous survey with students in the Monterey Bay area.
