This senior capstone project examines how technology promotes critical thinking in the classroom. Through the use of literature review, surveys and in depth interviews with teachers in the Monterey Peninsula, the results reveal that many teachers use technology in their classrooms to promote critical thinking on a daily basis, but only half of them teach media literacy in their classrooms. Even though teachers keep students engaged and are comfortable using technology to promote critical thinking in their classrooms, they are not confident in teaching media literacy in their classrooms
