Análisis etnomatemático y epistemográfico del número racional fuera del medio escolar

This article reports the study of the interpretations that 4th year high school students show about the rational number, and the definition commonly given in texts. The presence of performances in sports and cultural activities was examined in light of the constructs proposed by Gairin and Muñoz (2005) and Behr, Lesh, Post & Silver (1983). It was approached from Ethnomathematics as a theory, under the perspective of D’Ambrosio (1993) which enhances extra-scholar knowledge as a source of wealth in school work, complemented with Drouhard's Theory of Epistemography (2011). The qualitative approach was assumed, field work was carried out using observation, analysis and interpretation notes and the mathematical activities notebook. It was concluded that addressing the rational number linked to reality benefits its understanding, as well as introducing students to the different notions associated with the object.Este artículo reporta el estudio de las interpretaciones que estudiantes de 4to año de bachillerato manifiestan sobre el número racional, y de la definición dada comúnmente en textos. Se examinó la presencia de las interpretaciones en actividades deportivas y culturales a la luz de los constructos propuestos por Gairin y Muñoz (2005) y Behr, Lesh, Post y Silver (1983). Se abordó desde la Etnomatemática como teoría, bajo la perspectiva  de D’Ambrosio (2013) la cual realza el conocimiento extra escolar como fuente de riqueza en el quehacer escolar, complementada, con la Teoría de Epistemografía de Drouhard (2011). Se asumió el enfoque cualitativo, se realizó trabajo de campo haciendo uso de la observación, notas de análisis e interpretación y el cuaderno de actividades matemáticas. Se concluyó que abordar el número racional vinculado a la realidad beneficia su comprensión, así como también presentar a los estudiantes las diferentes nociones asociadas al objeto
