Special Education services can be vital to a child’s long-term development and parent involvement is crucial. A parent’s knowledge of rights and access to information is of the utmost importance to get all services needed. This study was conducted to find and address concerns for local special education programs to improve the education quality for children with special needs. Teachers and parents were given surveys addressing their experiences with special education programs and services. Results from the survey were analyzed to find what parents want to better their ability to help their child receive services guaranteed by law.
