Multicultural education has become a core component in current teacher education. One of the goals of multicultural education in preparing future teachers to effectively work in culturally diverse classrooms is to have them examine the social role they play as teacher. Educators of prospective teachers are working to prepare students with the necessary skills that aim to enable students in becoming multicultural aware individuals and agents of social change.
