This research project examined the impact of visual prompts, direct instruction, and community based instruction on the independence, accuracy, and fluency of life skills of students with moderate disabilities. Using a Single Subject AB with follow up design, the study was designed to measure the intervention’s impact on the life skill of grocery shopping. Data suggest that the combined use of these strategies can advance the ability to perform the life skill of grocery shopping for students with moderate disabilities. All five participants increased their abilities in accuracy and independence; however a direct relationship for fluency could not be established
