This course introduces students to the scientific study of human behavior. Topics include biological foundations of behavior, learning, cognition, sensation and perception, development over the life span, emotion and personality, social thinking and behavior, and the causes and treatment of psychological disorders. Psychology majors should complete this course by the end of the sophomore year. Open to first-year students and sophomores; open to juniors and seniors by permission only. This course fulfills the prerequisite for PSYC 20
