This capstone seminar combines students from ANTH and SOCI-ANTH streams within the SOAN concentration. The process is both collaborative and individual. Together we will review questions, theories, and methods common to cultural anthropology (and archaeology) and sociology. Working individually, students will imagine, design, and complete original research projects, culminating in your thesis, a major 35-40 pp. paper. Students will be expected to work diligently and quickly, and to read and listen generously to others’ work. The semester will close with presentations of your research to departmental peers and colleagues
