Letter from Thomas Cureton to Xu Yingchao (Hsu Ying-Chao), December 11, 1937

A copy of a letter from Thomas K. Cureton to Springfielld College student Xu Yingchao (徐英超), Hsu Ying-Chao (Class of 1937) as he was known when he attended Springfield College. The letter announces that they have granted Xu a Bachelors of Physical Education (BPE) on the basis of taking addition classes into consideration. It goes on to list graduate level courses already completed, along with the grades, current courses, and then outlines what further credits are needed to get a Masters of Physical Education (MPE). The letter is dated December 11, 1937.Xu Yingchao (徐英超), Hsu Ying-Chao (Class of 1937) as he was known when he attended Springfield College, was born in 1900 and died in 1986. He studied at Springfield College during 1936-1937. Xu got a Bachelors of Physical Education (B.P.E.) in the summer of 1937 and a Master’s of Physical Education in the Spring of 1938.
