The athletes are wearing shorts and jerseys with numbers on them. The photograph is labeled December, 1958 and comes from a collection of photographs donated by Springfield College Cross Country runner, Roger Maloney (Class of 1961).Roger Maloney, Class of 1961, was on the Springfield College varsity cross country team from 1958 to 1959. In the New England Championship of 1958, Roger Maloney finished in 34th place. Springfield overall finished in eighth place.The Archives does not have the original photographic print. The photograph was donated as a jpg image to the Archives by the son of Roger Maloney (Michael Maloney). Only the jpg image exists in the Archives. The image was printed out and that print copy has been added to Roger Maloney's student file
