Left Ventricular Mass One Year After Radiofrequency Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation

Myxomas are the most common benign tumors of the heart. The exact etiology of myxomas is unknown and most cases are sporadic. It is well known though that myxomas can develop after cardiac trauma, and that radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) increases the risk of thrombus or endocarditis in the atrium.
