BACKGROUND: The nurse working in the catheterization laboratory through his/her physical presence is required to establish the appropriate therapeutic environment to successfully meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to approach the very complex issue of communication of nurses with patients coming through the catheterization laboratory.
