Born January 4, 1937, Dr. Sullivan received a Bachelor of Science (1959) and Master of Education (1963) from Springfield College. He got his Doctor of Physical Education from Indiana University in 1970. After his degree, he joined the faculty of Springfield College as Assistant Director of the Graduate Division and Associate Professor of Physical Education in 1970
