Tadakatsu Miyazaki admission application (1924)

Notice how Mr. Miyazaki wrote down his last name first, as customary in Japan.Mr. Miyazaki, originally from Japan, was born in 1897. Mr. Miyazaki applied to the International YMCA College in 1924, and graduated with a B.S. from the Boys Work Division in 1928. He also did volunteer work for the YMCA in San Francisco before applying to the College. After graduating from the College, Mr. Miyazaki accepted a position as Boys Work Secretary at the YMCA in Osaka, Japan. He also was in charge of the Personnel Department School Division, and as Director of Club among Boys. In the admission application Mr. Miyazaki expresses a strong desire of entering secretarial work encouraged by his faith in Christian values and his aspiration to work with young boys training in the association
