Farquhar (class of 1942), and Abraham M. Friedman (class of 1942). According to "100 Years of Gymnastics Exhibitions" (2008, 2009), these three men began the tradition of the triple-balance act in 1942, their senior year.The history of gymnastics at Springfield College stretches nearly as far back as the school’s founding in 1885.
