This video shows two lectures from Springfield College’s Symposium on Girls and Women in Sports. The symposium was held in conjunction with the celebration of fifty years of women’s varsity athletics at Springfield College and was held during homecoming weekend (October 25-26, 2013). The first lecture, titled “Nutrition for the Female Athlete,” was presented by Dr. Richard J. Wood, a Springfield College alumnus. Wood earned his PhD in nutritional science from the University of Connecticut and is now the director of the Center for Wellness Education and Research at Springfield College.
