This is a portrait of Springfield College alumnus Dr.Matthew P. Joseph. Dr. Joseph earned his BS from the Forman Christian College (1925) in Lahore, India, and his B.P.E (1931) and M.Ed. (1932) from the International YMCA College, now known as Springfield College. After graduation, he returned to India to work as the director of physical education at the YMCA College of Physical Education in Chennai, India. The YMCA College of Physical Education was directed by Harry C. Buck, another Springfield College alumnus.
