Abstract

This black and white photograph displays the front entrance of Springfield College's Hickory Hall. Since there is no sign present on the front of the building, this photo may have been taken during the name change of the building or during renovations. Hickory Hall was originally known as Bemis Hall.Hickory Hall, previously known as Bemis Hall, was the final item funded by Springfield College’s 7.3 million dollar Capital Campaign in 1974. It was located adjacent to Schoo Hall, known today as the Schoo-Bemis Science Center. Construction began in April, 1974 and the building was opened for full use in April of 1975.
