This is a photograph of the 1975 Springfield College Field Hockey team. The photograph was taken at the first Collegiate Championship.Springfield College Field Hockey had a phenomenal season in 1975, finishing with a 14-1-2 record and earning a bid to the first post-season national collegiate field hockey tournament. Denise Desautels, who tallied 16 goals on the year and later became an Olympian, led the offense. The goalie, Sharon Schmickley, allowed only 4 goals in 10 games, and Springfield College finished third in the nation. Coach Dottie Zenaty is standing in the front row all the way to the right.
