This is a photograph of an architect sketch of the Springfield College Allied Health Sciences Center by the Cole and Goyette, Architect and Planners, INC. created in the spring of 1987. In the end, the building turned out to be slightly different from this initial sketch. A lower, one-story addition was added to two of sides of the structure, giving the building a less boxy feel to it.The Allied Health Sciences Center was originally the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. As the Basketball Hall of Fame, the building housed the history of basketball from its birth at Springfield College in 1891. The Basketball Hall of Fame was opened to the public on February 18, 1968.
