This picture was taken during a trip around the world that Dr. and Mrs. Doggett took at the time of his retirement in 1936. Doggett served as Springfield College's (then the International YMCA Training School) fourth president and first full-time president from 1896 to 1936.During his time at the college Doggett improved upon the facilities by building a new library, gymnasium, athletic field and swimming pool.
