Assessment of CO, NO, NOX AND SO2 emissions from the combustion in single cylinder engine of diesel and biodiesel oil frying mixtures.

O trabalho tem por finalidade determinar a concentração dos gases CO, NO, NOx e SO2 provenientes da combustão de óleo diesel puro (B0), biodiesel de resíduos de óleo de fritura (B100) e suas misturas (B2, B5, B10 e B50). Para tanto, foi utilizado um motor agrícola monocilíndrico, ciclo diesel, quatro tempos e 9 cavalos vapor (cv) de potência máxima, à 2000 rpm (marca Tobata, modelo TR 9). A alimentação do motor foi realizada com diferentes misturas de diesel e biodiesel (B0, B2, B5, B10, B50 e B100). As análises foram realizadas diretamente do sistema de exaustão do motor, sem filtro catalisador, com dois analisadores de gases de combustão. O tempo total de análise para cada mistura foi de 15 minutos, com intervalos de 3 minutos entre cada leitura. Os resultados demonstram uma diminuição na concentração de CO e SO2 e aumento de NO e NOx devido à adição de biodiesel ao diesel.The aim of the study was to determine the concentration of the gases CO, NO, NOx and SO2 from combustion of pure diesel oil (B0), biodiesel from waste frying oil (B100) and their blends (B2, B5, B10 and B50). For this, a single cylinder agricultural engine, diesel cycle, four times, and 9 horsepower (hp) of power at maximum 2000 rpm (Tobata manufacturing, TR 9 model) was utilized. The motor feeding was performed with different blends of diesel and biodiesel (B0, B2, B5, B10, B50 and B100). Analyses were performed directly from the exhaust system (without catalytic filter) engine with two exhaust gas analyzers. Fifteen minutes analyses were carried out for each mixture, with 3 minutes intervals between readings. The results show a decrease in the concentration of CO and SO2 and increase of NO and NOx due to the addition of biodiesel to diesel fuel
