For the left, the results of the federal elections in Germany were almost the optimum. The main message was: the Germans stick to social justice and the principles of the welfare state, they don’t accept the anglo-saxon type of capitalism. Neo-liberalism is in a crisis of acceptance. There is the potential for a left majority. This will not come automatically. Social movements and pressure from the society will have to play an important role. This has to happen while respecting the different character and logics of parliamentary extra parliamentary work
