The presence manuscript conducted on lead removal from industrial wastewater using an emulsion liquid membrane method (ELM). The developed ELM consisted of ionic liquid 1-Methyl-3-octylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([OMIM]PF6) in membrane phase is used as a stabilizer to provide sufficient stability of emulsion. Other ingredients for emulsion preparation are solvents (kerosene), surfactant (Span 80), extractant [di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA)], and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) as an internal receiving phase.
