In this paper a partial differential equation for the analysis of beams resting on an elastic foundation under dynamic load is presented. A solution for this equation is derived, and solutions for various boundary conditions of infinite beams resting on an elastic foundation are discussed. The application of the equation is demonstrated by an example of a moving load traveling along an infinite beam --Abstract, page ii
