Twenty-five samples of well cuttings from the Iraq Petroleum Company Butmah Number 9 Well in northwestern Iraq, at approximately 36° 37\u27 north latitude and 42° 41\u27 east longitude, have been examined in detail. The boundary between the Upper Cretaceous and lower Cenozoic is recorded as closely as possible on the basis of the microfaunal assembalges. A unit showing equivalence to the Danian Stage also is recognized --Abstract, page ii
