Lightning rods play a very important role in lightning protection system. In this work, a study of the effect of using lightning rods with different tip surfaces and diameters is conducted. Hence, suitable features of lightning rods can be identified. All experimental results were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analyses. From this research, blunt tip surface with smaller diameters were proven to be the best lightning rod for safer lightning protection
